CPAP

The Oasis Community Prescription Assistance Program (CPAP) provides free and discounted prescriptions for uninsured adults living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Clients must live in the greater Bath-Brunswick area including the towns of Freeport, Brunswick,Harpswell and the Islands, and all of Sagadahoc County. Patients are referred by their physicians to the Program Coordinator who determines the best source of assistance and completes all initial and renewal applications for the client.

CPAP ensures clients receive continuous therapy by processing timely requests for medications and refills for those receiving free medications in the Program. CPAP clients have a higher rate of medication compliance, are better able to manage chronic disease and have more financial capacity for daily living expenses. They also have fewer physician visits, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations due to medication non-compliance.

This program is funded by private and public grants and donations and receives in-kind donations from pharmaceutical companies.
